We've got it all figured out!
Brad and I have it all figured out. Emma needs to be born on Saturday, February 18th. Ya see, Brad has a 3 day weekend due to President's Day for the weekend of Feb 18-20th. He also has limited vacation time available since he just started working at Jacobs in mid-July. So, in an effort to have plenty of time off for the baby, it would be best if I can go into labor on Friday, Feb 17th, then Emma could be born at some point on the 18th and Brad would still have two more days left in his 3 day weekend before he has to start using his vacation time. Great plan, huh? Not only would this be great time management, but Emma will be full term at that point and well...we're just ready for her to be here. And I REALLY don't want her coming late! (Brad was 2 weeks late! Some people are just more laid back...) So, my 1st choice would be for her to come just a little early and my 2nd choice is for her to be right on time. I don't think I can handle being pregnant well into March! (My actual due date is March 1st, but only a small percentage of women actually deliver on their due date.) I'm really feeling crowded these days and tired of waiting. Now we'll just wait and see what Emma's plan is!
DOCTOR UPDATE: If you read my previous post you know my OB/GYN is sorta MIA these days for some unknown reason. I actually met another person this past weekend who was seeing her as well and they too are clueless about what happened to the doctor. Anyway, I have found another. Several people have said good things about her and I feel good about her, so I'm sticking with her! The office seemed very professional and well run. Dr. Files even had a meeting with me in her office to get to know more about me and to discuss my medical records and Emma's progress before we went into the exam room. I guess this has all worked out. Glad to know I have someone to call if I have questions or go into labor! We only have 6 1/2 weeks left. (Unless Emma is born on February 18th!)
