Book Babies program at the Freeman Library

Emma and I attend the Book Babies program at our local library at least once a week. We sing songs and do nursery rhymes, such as "Jack Be Nimble" and "The Wheels on the Bus". They get out shakers and also have a bubble machine - fun, fun! Emma likes it and really enjoyed it today as it was her first time to sit up on her own. (Mom usually holds her the whole time, but not today!) She watched the song leader quite intently. Here's a pic of her with a blue shaker.

Yep, that's right! Emma can now sit for long periods of time all on her own. She does topple over occasionally, but does quite well most of the time! Can't believe our sweet girl is growing so fast....Isn't she the cutest?

Bath in the Sink

We went to Spearsville, LA for my family reunion Labor Day weekend. Emma got to meet many aunts, uncles and cousins. She crossed her first state line and got to spend time outside underneath tall pine trees and within sight of a few grazing deer. She even got to have a country style bath in Aunt Wanda's sink!
